Present Lab / Institute : NIDDK,NIH,Bethesda. I am a molecular biologist who studied the interaction of RNA viruses with host cellular proteins using gel shift assays, super-shift and northwestern blotting in Ph.D. Currently I am working on in vitro pancreatic islet cultures and their gene expression profile using RT-PCR and immunostaining. Born and brought up in Delhi, I am a true Delhite! After finishing my Ph.D from NII, N.Delhi in virology, I worked as a Research Scientist in the field of Embryonic stem cells at Reliance Life Sciences, Mumbai for a year and a half. Joined NIH in 2002 and have been working here on pancreatic stem cells/development. Some of my other interests include reading novels, listening to music, dancing, swimming etc.
