Born and brought up in Delhi. I came to US in January 2002 when I joined the Experimental Immunology Branch at National Cancer Institute to work with Dr. Steve Shaw. I am an immunologist and virologist. I am an expert in cell signal transduction pathways, lymphocyte purification from human blood, hepatocyte isolation, purification of virus from egg yolks, scanning electron microscopy, fluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry, western blot, RT-PCR and gel shift assays. Recently I have been training in translational research where I am learning the commercialization aspect of science, namely the mechanism by which technology from a laboratory could be developed into a product for public benefit. I am a DPSite (from Delhi Public School, Mathura Rd., Delhi) at heart. I love to meet people and think that I have the knack to know people well within a few meetings. I love to host parties. I think life is too short so we should enjoy every minute of it, when we can. I have been blessed with a few very good friends. I think music is God's best gift to mankind. I cannot imagine my life without listening to music. I love to travel. I have been to pretty much everywhere in India and here in US, I have been to some of the best places in this country from the west coast (San Francisco) to top to down on the east coast (from Boston to Key West). My dream is to drive around Europe. I love outdoors, long drives, camping, hiking, running. I love to read.
