Born and brought up in Chandigarh. In 1998, went to Germany for a PhD. Joined the NIH in January, 2004. Academia: Masters in Microbiology and Doctorate in Cell Biology. At present, working in the lab of genetics and physiology at NIDDK with Lothar Hennighausen. I am an expert in cloning, protein purification and interaction studies, cell culture, making stable cell lines, doing primary cell culture with murine embryonic fibroblasts, using retrovirus and lentivirus for making stable cell lines, chromatin immunoprecipitation assays.
